Mini Shawls

Well, the swatch for the new shawl blocked out nicely so I think I will use the yarn even though it's made from ???. I thought the swatch itself would make a nice little wrap for one of Evelyn's Flower Fairy dolls.

These used to belong to my sister and I, which would probably explain why this fairy's hair is so frizzy. I wish I knew someone else who had these dolls... Flower Fairies seem to be a newer thing here in the US, but Cicely Mary Barker and her artwork were big in the UK when we were kids. We had books, paper dolls, and this pretty little line of dolls with their own matching clothes. Now mostly I see calendars, notecards, votive holders, and decorative tins.

I also pulled the pins out of the Swallowtail...

I like it... However, when I use it to cover my shoulders only a wee bit hangs down in the front.

Certainly not enough to pin or tie to keep it from falling off. But I think I could wear it like this...
